Born in Munich, Germany, Stephan Ach is a photographer from a family of theater actors, who from an early age was exposed to the world of art where he became involved with the world of fantasy, adrenaline and eccentricity on stage. In the time he spent in art school he leaned more towards the lens than the brush, which led him to discover his true photographic talent, making it an essential part of his artistic expression.
In 1982 Ach graduated from the Staatliche Fachakademie de Fotodesign in Munich where he compiled an extensive portfolio that directs him towards fashion where he works in New York, Paris, Munich, Barcelona and Miami, among others.
In 2000 he began to explore cinematography and enrolled in the New York Film Academy, complementing a long career in the world of fashion with an artistic vision of what he himself called “The magic of life.”
Stephan Ach has exhibited in galleries and art fairs around the world, La Semana del arte en Miami, Zona MACO México, Arco Madrid + Miguel Marcos Barcelona.
Stephan Ach explores the world in search of the unknown; that which exists beyond our visual reality. His photographs capture moments that reflect transience, a unique experience. His work reflects surprising elements that he finds in different settings: flexibility, softness, warmth, expressiveness and incredible landscapes.
