Ridiculous and extravagant are but a few of the epithets that have been applied to The Peripatetics, who take off from an itinerant reflection to show their natural reaction to the world they experience.
Each artist in the present showcase uses dark humor to approach serious and delicate issues. Smart but free of sensationalism, their spontaneity needs no further argument than the simple encounter between subject and object.
Through a variety of techniques and styles of inquiry, The Peripatetics enter into personal labyrinths that expose their particular sense of humor. They overlap in expressing a critique of contemporary reality from the vantage point of the grotesque.
From sarcastic expressions in which art is nothing more than a playful provocation, the pieces take our everyday views and realities to a different level of perception.
